HOLD NUAKHAI BHETGHAT, STRESS FOR UNITY

The Nuakhai Bhetghat
(get-together) of the Gond tribe was organised here on Monday on behalf of the
Akhil Bhartiya Gond Mahasabha. Commerce and Transport Minister Ramesh Chandra
Majhi graced the occasion as the chief guest.
"Nuakhai is not a mere
festival; it is a movement to strengthen brotherhood among the people. We have
tried to unite all the Gond people for their development,' said All Odisha Gond
Mahasagha president Mahendra Nayak.
Among others, MLAs
Duryodhan Majhi, Rabinarayan Nayak and Subash Gond, Rajib Patra and
former MLA Pranaballav Nayak spoke on the occasion and commented that all Gond
people from across the State should be united for collective development. On
this occasion, a preparatory meeting was held for the forthcoming 11th
Rashtriya Gond Maha Adhibesan (national-level meeting) to be organised by the
Akhil Bharatiya Gondwana Gond Mahsabha from December 25 to 27, 2015 at Jharsuguda.
