Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) activists led by Ajay Dash on Tuesday
gheroed the Minor Irrigation Executive Engineer’s office here demanding early
commencement of the Laxmijore development work for which `10.67 crore has
already been sanctioned. They too submitted a memorandum in this regard.
Receiving the memorandum, MI Executive Engineer Hiralal Panigrahi
told the activists that the project has not been handed over to his office by
the Balangir Municipality. “A total of `10.67 crore has already been sanctioned
for development of the Laxmijore, which comes under the Balangir Municipality.
Tender has also been invited. The project has not been handed over to us,” said
Panigrah
