Subarnapur totally drought-hit’
Balangir: President of the Ang Irrigation Project Committee Akash
Mishra here on Friday threatened to gherao the District Collectorate on
November 3 unless both Balangir and Subarnapur districts are declared totally
drought affected forthwith. Moreover, the agriculture loans taken by farmers
should be completely waived off, besides waiving off of water tax, he said.
Moreover, farmers should be given loan at one per cent interest so that they
could take up Rabi cultivation properly, Mishra added.
