OMSA FOR DACP,
THREATENS STIR FROM OCTOBER 2
1
The Odisha Medical Services Association (OMSA), a body of
Government doctors, threatened to go on strike from October 2 if the Government
failed to implement dynamic assured career progression (DACP) for them as the
same was existed in other States.
“Dynamic assured career progression is the birthright of
scientists and doctors because there is no fixed time of work in these two
professions. As the Government is not providing DACP to State doctors, no new
doctors are entering into services because of poor pay structure while those
who are serving for the State are leaving Government services. The population
of doctors has come down from 4,500 to 1,800,” said a Press release.
From October 2, the doctors would not participate in executing
national programmes and would wear black badges till the fulfilment of the
demand.
